INFORMATION WE COLLECT ABOUT YOU AND HOW WE USE IT

ValueWalk LLC respects your right to privacy. Visitors should be aware that each time they visit a website two general levels of information about their visit can be retained. The first level comprises statistical and other analytical information collected on an aggregate and non-individual specific basis of all browsers who visit the site, and the second is information which is personal or particular to a specific visitor who knowingly chooses to provide that information.

The statistical and analytical information provides us with general and not individually specific information about the number of people who visit this website; the number of people who return to this site; the pages that they visit; where they were before they came to this site and the page in the site at which they exited. This information helps us monitor traffic on our website so that we can manage the site’s capacity and efficiency. It also helps us to understand which parts of this site are most popular, and generally to assess user behavior and characteristics in order to measure interest in and use of the various areas of the site.

The statistical and analytical information and data can be collected through the standard operation of our internet servers and logs as well as “cookies”. “Cookies” are small text files that a website can use in order to recognize visitors who revisit a site so as to facilitate their ongoing access to and use of the site. It enables usage behavior to be tracked and aggregate data to be compiled that would facilitate more targeted advertising and improved content. Typically, cookies involve the assigning of a unique number to the visitor. Visitors should be aware that ValueWalk is unable to control the use of cookies or the resulting information by other third parties such as advertisers or parties hosting data for ValueWalk LLC. One simple way to prevent the use of cookies it to activate the facility which is available in most web browsers that enables the user to deny or accept cookies. However, visitors should realize that certain cookies may be necessary in order to provide the visitor with certain features such as the customized delivery of certain information

If you sign up for our free newsletter we send you our content on a daily or weekly basis depending on your choice. We also (infrequently) send out third party offers which you can opt out of at any time. We also occasionally send “blasts” about our own products like Hidden Value Stocks. You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time you wish and you will never be contacted again. ESPs provide a lot of data but we use it to view general trends not to track individuals even by IP address.

For paying members we do not collect payment info. Stripe does collect the last 4 digits of your credit card, and address, we do not store any of that onsite. Besides, Stripe does collect basic info like your name and email and paypal sometimes collects your address for anti-fraud reasons. Again we do not do anything with that and the information is stored securely by Paypal and Stripe not onsite. When you pay with Stripe the information is transferred using hashtags and security protocols to prevent hackers from obtaining the info. We do our best to keep up with the latest security trends and topics like PCI by talking to security IT experts and Stripe but the technical aspects are complex and we cannot guarantee that hackers could not steal the information during sign up. See more on that below.

For paying members there are admin emails you cannot opt out of – these are infrequently and are only automated and rare. They will notify you if you are going to be billed or just canceled your account when your access expires. For example, if you are a yearly member you will receive a sign-up email with information and another email telling you that you will be billed if you are canceled before the 12th month. So you will likely only receive 2 emails in a year that are automated and cannot be opted out of.

See important caveats on billing notifications right here.

We have started to track logins by users. We have no interest or time to see when you read the content we installed it solely for two reasons. 1. For Payment disputes and 2. for technical issues. Only the site admin or authorized personal like IT who are usually required to sign an NDA can view the info, or Paypal or Stripe reps in dispute cases and it is solely for #1 and #2. The plugin info can be found here but below is an example of the info it collects and does not actually log what you are reading or any other behavior.

USER ID, [email protected],subscriber, IP ADRESS, USA, TIMEZONE Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/IP Safari/537.36

Furthermore, some of this data usually cannot be detected such as country and time zone.

We also can see details in chat – we cannot view something you type unless you click send but we can view IP address, visits to site, where you came from and username if applicable.

See examples here and here

Anything you add is voluntary and we do not sell it to anyone nor use the information except to view general trends like are people buying our products

You can delete your profile at any time.

Advertisers like Google collect cookies which tracks IP address and other stats– we use the information to track general trends for example are our readers coming from US, Canada, UK or elsewhere to generally choose advertisers or what type of content to run for the site. There is no individual information attached to the cookies (at least which we can see), the closest it gets is IP addresses.

We try to delete any information you request but cannot guarantee it unless required by law to do so.

All data could be used internally by ValueWalk employees for administrative purposes only. For example if someone asks our support a membership question we may need to send that to our IT to check if there is a technical issue with your account. Otherwise, this information is not being sent or seen anyone.

Throughout this website you may have an opportunity to send us information relating to you such as through the “contact us” pages or any other area where you may send e-mails, request a newsletter or news digest, or respond to any promotions. By choosing to participate in these, you will be providing us with some level of personal information relating to you. This information will only be used by ValueWalk LLC for:

  • the purposes for which it was provided by you;
  • verification purposes and statistical analysis.

We neither rent nor sell your Personal Information in personally identifiable form to anyone. We may share your Personal Information in personally identifiable form with third parties as described below.

THIRD-PARTY LINKS

Our Site may contain links to third-party websites or applications. Any access to and use of such websites or applications is not governed by this Policy. We are not responsible for the information practices of any such third-party website or application.

3rd Parties

We may allow advertisers, advertising agencies, ad networks, and/or merchant partners (collectively, “Advertisers”) to collect information on our Website for the purpose of serving you with advertising tailored to your interest or choose the demographic information of users who will see their advertisements and/or promotional offers. You agree that we may provide any of the information we have collected from you in non-personally identifiable form to an Advertiser, in order for that Advertiser to select the appropriate audience for those advertisements and/or offers. For example, we might use the fact you are located in New York to show you ads or offers for New York businesses, but we will not tell such businesses who you are.

We may deliver a file to you through the Website (known as a “web beacon”) from an ad network. Web beacons allow ad networks to provide anonymized, aggregated auditing, research and reporting for us and for advertisers. Web beacons also enable ad networks to serve targeted advertisements to you when you visit other websites. Some advertisers use cookies, pixels, beacons, locally stored objects or other similar technologies. Because your web browser must request these advertisements and web beacons from the ad network’s servers, these companies can view, edit, or set their own cookies, just as if you had requested a web page from their site.
