11:30AM EST:D3 talks about the focus points of their investing. The fund stresses on small cap companies that are underperforming but have potential for growth.

11:35 AM EST: Cara Jacobsen & David Nierenberg’s D3 funds run a portfolio with high concentration that mostly stays within 8-10 companies. David Nierenberg is talking about long idea, Rosetta Stone Inc (NYSE:RST). The growth margins are in low 80 percent range, additionally at the present levels the company has $7/share in cash with virtually no debt.

11:40 AM: RST is cutting down on bloated expenditures. As a part of its restructuring the company has closed off several of its kiosks.

11:45AM : RST has upsides, the company operates in a uncapitalized market that has few consolidated players. D3 easily sees a 75 percent upside in the current stock price ($17.3, Friday close), at least.

11:50 AM: Some of the headwinds to RST’s performance include, new competition, VC sales and sale of free products.
