Indian Hedge Fund Managers Struggle To Generate Alpha Despite 30% Returns

2017 was a record year for the Indian stock market. As the S&P 500 rallied by just over 22% during the period, the Sensex and MSCI indices posted returns of 30.04% and 32.69% respectively over the year as investors pushed both the indices to record closing highs.
