It’s easy to put the Ann Telnaes / Sen. Ted Cruz dispute into the neat little pre-packaged Republican or Democratic argument. Here it was, an edgy if provocative cartoon writer depicting Ted Cruz’s children as monkeys in a Washington Post piece that has since been removed. Obviously that is despicable regardless of political affiliation and a violation of long-standing unwritten rule, but perhaps the more interesting question is regarding boundaries.
