Apple Inc. Said to Acquire Personalized Recommendation Service Spotsetter

Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) computer has agreed to acquire Spotsetter, a social search engine used for personalized recommendations, Tech Crunch is reporting. Terms of the deal were not released. Spotsetter app removed from Apple’s app store The Spotsetter app, which has been removed from the Apple App store according to Juli Clover at MacRumors, provided personalized recommendations using social networks for “great venues to eat, play, drink, and shop,” the Spotsetter said. Spotsetter had announced plans to shutter the app six days ago without explanation, while Spotsetter founders Stephen Tse and Johnny Lee have now embraced new positions as Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL)…
