Believe It Or Not, Multi-Strategy Hedge Funds Could Overtake Long/ Short Equity

Long/ short equity has been the most popular hedge fund strategy for decades, but it looks like that’s changing. A recent study found that on an absolute basis, multi-strategy hedge funds have doubled their assets since 2011. In fact, they’ve also been growing rapidly relative to industry assets overall.
