Fox Business Network (FBN) continues to triumph over CNBC  Below is the latest data.

FOX Business Network (FBN) was the number one rated business channel on cable last night during the pivotal hours surrounding the United Kingdom’s referendum vote to exit the European Union (Brexit). As the voting results were reported, FBN’s special edition of Varney & Co (11p-1a/ET), anchored by Stuart Varney, scored 238,000 total viewers, which was an 43% advantage over CNBC’s Brexit: UK Decides special which averaged 167,000 total viewers.

In addition, FBN’s early coverage of the vote brought in 242,000 total viewers from the 7-11pm/ET, topping CNBC’s mix of Jay Leno’s Garage and American Greed repeats, which only averaged 198,000 by 22% in total viewers.

For the duration of east coast and west coast primetime (7pm-1am), FBN saw 28% more total viewers tune-in to its Brexit special report, helmed by Lou Dobbs, Trish Regan, and Varney, than CNBC, which only have 188,000 total viewers compared to FBN’s 241,000. This marks the first-time ever FOX Business Network has swept CNBC in total viewers for primetime breaking business news coverage.
