Chilton Capital Management: A Multi-Year REIT Cycle Is Underway

The managers of Chilton Capital Management’s REIT strategy, believe the industry is currently experiencing an upswing that could last for as long as 11 years, based on past cycles.  According to a copy of the firm’s latest investor update, which is titled, is This Cycle is Just Getting Started, there are six reasons why they believe REITs could be on the verge of a strong upswing leading to a “three year annualized total return profile of +7% to +9%.” New market cycle  For the year to the end of July, the MSCI REIT Index returned 27.7%.
