China didn’t make it into the MSCI Emerging Market Index this year after all, though its chances for 2016 look good. Until then, focus has shifted to the IMF’s review of its Special Drawing Rights (SDR) basket of currencies this summer and whether the Chinese renminbi (RMB) will be added to the mix.
