FBI Warns Business in Wake Of Sony Attack

The U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation is warning corporations about a malicious malware attack similar to the type that successfully invaded Sony Pictures web site. Reuters is reporting the FBI sent out an email Monday detailing the attack and how to prevent it. The five-page “confidential” report said the malware overrides all data on computer hard drives and prevents them from booting up. “The overwriting of the data files will make it extremely difficult and costly, if not impossible, to recover the data using standard forensic methods,” the FBI report said.
