Florida based Gator Capital Management is one of the most overlooked investment firms in the US. Managed by Derek Pilecki, the firm has returned a net annualized 24.9% since inception, (mid-2008) vs. 9.9% for the S&P 500 by focusing on financials during a time when most other investors have been too terrified to touch the sector.
