IEX Group Inc. is in the final stages of submitting its formal application to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission to become a full-fledged stock exchange. Citing people familiar with the developments, The Wall Street Journal reports the upstart private trading venue will apply for exchange status within two weeks.
