Luis Stuhlberger is one of Brazil’s best hedge fund managers, perhaps even the best. His flagship hedge fund Verde has returned an average of 29% a year, after fees, since it was founded in 1997. That’s compared to a return of 10% per annum for the wider Brazilian market and 16% per annum for Brazil’s main bond market. This year Verde, which is known for its macro bets, is set for yet another good year.
