Increasingly financial reform advocates such as Jeff Hauser, who runs the revolving door project for the non-profit Center for Effective Government, are troubled by the reign of Mary Jo White as Chair of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. Hauser says several recent issues punctuate the fact that “the original promise of White as SEC chair has not been met, and it is not clear now if she ever intended to be the reformer the public demanded."
