Crispin Odey finds himself in an unusual relative position in the recent HSBC Hedge weekly report while a host of systematic CTA hedge funds and a well known discretionary manager are trailing their peers. After being a frequent guest on the Hedge Weekly worst performing list for the last three years, posting losses of -21.72%, -49.52% and -12.82% over the period, Odey is finally in the winner’s circle, third best year to date of all performers submitting their returns to HSBC.
