Third Point LLC, the hedge fund managed by Dan Loeb, recorded a net loss of 8.9% for the third quarter, according to the fund’s third quarter letter to investors reviewed by ValueWalk. For the nine months to the end of September 2015, the fund was down 4.5%, compared to a loss of 5.3% for the S&P 500 over the same period.
