A contagion in the UK real estate investment market appears underway as the sixth investment fund, $286 million Canada Life, said it is suspending withdrawals in the fund to “protect the interests of all investors in property funds.” The company is the latest in a string of firms to prevent investors from withdrawing funds, following Columbia Threadneedle and Henderson Global Investors earlier today closing up withdrawals.
