Christian Olesen’s Olesen Value Fund gained 12.7% net of fees and expenses in 2017, beating its 2016 performance by 220 basis points. Unfortunately, despite this double-digit return, the fund underperformed its benchmark the MSCI All-Country World Index by 7.1% for the year, although over the long-term the performance is more favourable.
The Olesen Value Fund has generated an annualized return of 16.7% since inception (December 2009) net of fees compared to 12.7% annualized for its benchmark, according to a letter to investors.
