When Do The Markets Close On New Years Eve?   Major markets around the world will be closed on New Year’s Day but, unlike the Christmas holiday trading in U.S. equities will be on a full schedule the day before and after New Year’s Day. Bond traders and many foreign exchanges, however, will close early New Year’s Eve.
