Not surprisingly, Equity Long/Short turned out to be the best-performing strategy in Q1 with an average return of 4 percent, as calculated by various hedge fund data sources. Among the small to medium sized hedge funds, Glenhill Capital was up 5.8 percent in the first two months of the year.
