You likely won’t see activist investor and Legion Partners founder Ted White on CNBC talking down a company’s management or board of directors. White might be categorized as a “constructive activist,” working behind the scenes to improve a company’s long term management.

“If something happens (after White’s involvement) and the stock does well and the company is in better shape and no one really knows we are there except for our client base – that’s okay,” Ted White said
