After struggling to outperform the market for several years, Skip Tague, the Managing Member of RBI Capital Management, decided to close the firm’s long/short strategy, RBI Partners, at the end of 2019. Q1 2020 hedge fund letters, conferences and more The strategy returned -9.9% net last year, underperforming the S&P 500 and HFRI Fund Weighted Index by 38.4% and 20.4% for the year, respectively. Although RBI Partners closed at the end of 2019, RBI continues to manage short-only fund RBI Kodiak Partners.
